What our readers love
We both enjoy the rhymes and colorful illustrations. Each page is both delectable and delightful. The book is also the perfect size for traveling; it's been all over with us! My son can not read yet but has the whole book memorized. It's something that we can enjoy over and over again.
We have students who come from all over the world. Your book is wonderful to add to our collection to help our youngest readers (and younger siblings of students) learn about foods from around the world and to show our commitment to learning about the globe around us.
The books are fun to read and starts as a wonderful foundation to introduce your little one to various foods and cultures. Quick warning: Reading this with a empty stomach may make you seek out your closest dim sum spot.
I love so much about Hong Kong, especially the food! This book made me nostalgic and brought back lots of fond memories of one of my favorite cities in the world. Only one problem with this book – it made me so hungry! Ai ya! Do not read on an empty stomach – haha!
My kids loooooooove the new Tokyo book and then revived their love for the Hong Kong one too! My kids love Japanese food so, many of them are their favourites! Noah now reads it every night and has a nice pretend dinner (gobbling up the pictures) before going to bed.
When I talk about how independent and self publishing can be done well, this is what I am talking about. This is the gold standard of indie books right here. The quality is fantastic at every level, down to the make and feel of the book itself.
My daughter loves it! Her great aunt can only read Chinese but can follow along since the food names are also included in Chinese. They really enjoyed it reading together yesterday! Thanks for the great way to introduce my daughter to an important part of her heritage!
That is why I love reading Big Cities Little Foodies book to Joshua. It is a fun way to introduce him to the side of Hong Kong I love most - the food! I cannot wait until he is old enough to try all the food in the book. So he can experience what we are reading to him every day.

Looks like we need to fix our food cravings tomorrow! So glad there's an amazing book out there to represent the iconic foods of our home.
